Where to Put a Porta Potty: 5 Placement Rules

Five placement rules for a porta potty at a home, event or job site: level ground, 15 feet from the truck, clear access and safe distance from doors.
Rule 1
15 ft

Keep the unit within about 15 feet of a surface our truck can drive on. The pump hose must reach it every week.
Rule 2

Level ground

Pavement, gravel or firm grass. Use plywood on soft lawn. No slopes.
Rule 3

Not behind a fence

Fenced backyards block service. Driveways and side yards work best.
Rules 4 & 5

Access + distance

Access: share gate codes, watch low wires and branches
Distance: about 10 ft from doors and windows, away from food
Mark it: cone, stake or a texted photo
