How does long-term porta potty billing work?
Long-term porta potty billing runs in 28-day cycles. Each cycle includes weekly service. A year has 13 cycles, not 12, because 13 × 28 = 364 days. The rental renews automatically until you call for pickup, and the first cycle includes delivery.
See a dated, full-year example in the 28-day billing explainer.
Which sites rent porta potties long-term or by the season?
Sites that rent long-term include farms during harvest, industrial plants during shutdowns, warehouses with broken plumbing, quarries, parks and ball fields from spring to fall, marinas along the Delaware and Lehigh rivers, summer camps, and multi-month construction projects. Seasonal sets usually run Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Farms follow OSHA 29 CFR 1928.110: 1 toilet and 1 hand-washing facility per 20 workers, within a quarter-mile walk. See OSHA 1928.110 field sanitation.
How much does a long-term porta potty cost?
A long-term standard porta potty costs an estimated $165–$250 per 28-day cycle with weekly service. Later cycles usually cost less than the first, because the first includes delivery. Deluxe units cost about $325–$450 and hand-wash stations about $150–$250 per cycle.
Full detail is in the cost guide.
Questions renters ask
Can I keep a unit all summer?
Seasonal rentals from Memorial Day to Labor Day are common for parks, pools and lake houses. That is about 4 cycles of 28 days.
Can I set up auto-pay?
A card on file is charged at the start of each cycle. Approved businesses can use invoice terms.
If I return it early, do I get a partial refund?
Cycles are not prorated. Call for pickup before your next cycle starts to avoid the next charge.
Can I change service to twice a week?
Service frequency can change at any time. Extra visits are billed per visit or built into the cycle price.
